Cosmetic Procedures

A smile can be the most eye-catching feature of your face.

With dentistry’s many advances, you no longer have to settle for stained, chipped or misshapen teeth. You now have choices that can have you smiling with confidence. Ask about the options for improving your smile in our office.

Veneers

Veneers are thin custom-made shells that are designed to cover the front surface of the teeth. Made of tooth colored porcelains, veneers are used to treat spaces between teeth, permanently stained teeth, poorly shaped teeth, chipped or worn teeth, and slightly crooked teeth. Placing veneers is an irreversible procedure because a small amount of enamel is removed to make room for the thickness of the veneer. If the teeth are crooked, sometimes more tooth structure has to be removed to allow for making the tooth a more pleasing shape. The procedure usually takes just two appointments.

Bleaching

Bleaching (tooth whitening) is a procedure that brightens teeth that are discolored, stained, or darkened because of injury. We make a custom tray that holds the bleaching solution against the teeth. This will be worn daily for a least two weeks (maybe more depending on your case). It is not uncommon for teeth to become sensitive after bleaching, this is only temporary and the solutions we use will cause the least sensitivity. It is not uncommon for the effects of bleaching to last a year or more, however, periodic retreatment may be needed. This usually involves getting new solution to use in your trays and a much shorter application time than was needed initially.

Even subtle changes in your smile can make a dramatic difference in the way you look and feel about yourself.
